steering wheel boss

sounds like i have a noise like a gentle rattle coming from the steering wheel boss? any ideas of what this could be?

any help would be appreciated.

Could be the steering rack. Some cars have been known to have an issue with these. You can get them refurbished on an exhange basis from Mark Black at Bolsover Car Care in Chesterfield. He's well known in the Renault world.
