starting problem

When i press brake and starter button to start i keep geting select neutral the car is in neutral i have to dip the clutch to get it to start any ideas thanks matt

check the brake lights work (could be faulty brake light switch)

check fuses in the engine bay fuse box

faulty brake or clutch switch or the wiring to either

brake lights work i think the bake switch is fine else it wouldnt try does any one how the system knows it is in neutral or not thanks matt
