Speaker Upgrade

I don't, but then I'm not really up on the audio side of things. I don't really use my stereo.

A few people have upgraded so I'm sure someone else will be able to make suggestions.

I got Sony xplod xs-f1327se they where the perfect upgrade on my cup as there ain't any speakers in the back anyway they do the job and fit with no moddin' put them in the front with some connectors off flee-bay put the clio standard ones it the back jobs a gooden. And the original covers fit back over

I was wondering if coaxial speakers could be fitted as there probably arnt any front tweeters in the car anyway, would they be a better option that components?

I bought component speakers read the instruction manual then took them back and swapped them for Co axel. Component seemed to be difficult to fit and couldn't deal with that ha ha

I dont know enough about car audio to know what to go for really and which speakers will fit etc. I would imagine coaxials will provide more bass and the components will provide crisper vocals due to the tweeters being separate.

Components would generally be the better bet overall, there's always going to be some form of compromise in the design of the packaging to fit tweeter and woofer into one item with coaxials.

I have the ones Fernandez linked to in my car and they're a big improvement, you need to give the tweeters a bit of time to break in though so they were a bit harsh at first. Well worth the money.
I've spent a lot more money in the past just on a single speaker so £99 is pretty cheap imo for what you get.

Neither will produce a massive amount of bass as you need an enclosed box which the door cards don't provide.

Thats great thanks for the sound advise, I am not after bass really anyway just want a nice crisp sound that can be turned up without distorting.

I have never upgraded the audio in car before as they have all been sufficient but the clio in standard form is so bad I have got to do something.

Upgraded my stereo with rockford fosgate + powered amp and sub in the back. Takes a little bit of space but it's a lying flat installation so you can put your things on it no prob. The result is amazing with absolutely no distortion even on the highest volumes.
