Selling broken boxes once replaced?

So it's happened, 4th gear likes to crunch now and again along with my release bearing on the clutch went ages ago.

Once people have replaced clutchs and gearboxes, have they simply discarded them or is there somewhere that would purchase them to be refurbed? It'd be nice to get a little bit of money back after spending £00's

Well you could just get the synchs replaced in yours?

That is another good option, looking through the 'has your gearbox been replaced' thread, I'd seen the majority of advice was swaying toward buying a refurb box. It'd also reduce that amount of time that I'm without my beloved money pit.

Will get a quote from D&C transmissions at some point.

I've seen a box with broken syncs on ebay for £80 but wondered if that would ever acheive that figure.
