Scotland North Coast Route 500 - June 2016

The three of us have just come back from an incredible trip to the Highlands of Scotland, travelling round the North Coast 500 tourist route. We were blessed with fantastic weather, amazing roads, stunning scenery, generous and pleasant people, great food, brilliant laughs, copious flatulence, solid friendships and memories that will last a long time.

Glad you had the weather with you. I'm fortunate enough to have this route on my doorstep & whilst I've never done the whole thing in one trip I think I have covered it all over the years. Can't beat these roads for driving pleasure anywhere. Great pics. Sounds like you had a blast.

We couldn't have asked for anymore with the weather, it was brilliant. The roads are excellent and you're lucky to have them so close by. The other road users are spot on as well, really courteous and accommodating - they seemed to go out of their way to make things easy, pulling over and flashing us past etc.

Great road trip

Took the Trophy up and around Loch Lomond and the roads are simply epic and very quiet.

Looks like you guys had a fantastic time! My only objection is that you came all the way here and drank Fosters and Bud instead of something from the various craft breweries and plethora of distilleries!!
