After topping the timesheets on day 3 of testing in Valencia this week, Robert Kubica has reportedly been seriously injured in an accident at the Rally Ronde di Andora in Italy this morning.
Whilst his injuries are not thought to be life threatening, early reports suggest multiple fractures to his right arm, hip and leg with other reports adding that he has either fractured or broken both his hands.
Kubica was air lifted to hospital after he lost control of his Skoda Fabia, leaving the road and crashing into a wall at high speed. Renault are yet to comment on the drivers condition leaving the rest of the F1 world to speculate about the Pole's replacement for the first race of the season in Bahrain in just 34 days time.
Whilst Bruno Senna is listed as the teams third driver and Romain Grosjean as the reserve driver, neither had made much of an impression when featuring on the F1 stage prompting speculation that Renault may look to Nico Hulkenberg (currently Force India's test driver) to stand in.
Here's hoping Kubica makes a quick recovery
