Recaro seat height

Hi all, can anyone help me find a place I take my clio200 to get my recaros adjusted lower as they feel they are an inch too high. I have set it it to the lowest height but feel like I'm sitting on top of the chassis rather than in it which I think makes a difference with feedback , any help would be appreciated

The only solution to this issue is new seat frames for the Recaro. Its a known issue with owners but the only solution costs about £500 and is a kit you fit yourself. Live with it a while and you'll get used to the seat height, I know I did.

Thanks for your help on this matter , seems pricey, may just adapt to the height, I guess renault are more interested in safety than driving position

anyone know if the OEM steering wheel can be rough further out?

I'm sure i heard of someone making a spacer

Is the wheel already at it maximum reach? As it can be pulled out.

thats a good point actually - I've sat in loads of 250/265 meganes and the driving position is spot on IMO and you do sit a lot lower

i wonder if they're interchangeable?

Any advance on this? Been looking into it as my father just commented on how high my seats are!! He's 63 haha been having a look about and wondering if the recaro base for aftermarket recaro CS seats would make it lower, just not sure if the Renault versions have the same fixing points or not and it's a shame I don't have any suppliers near me as I would happily try it out, just not keen on paying for something that may not work :worried:

Think the meg250-265 Recaros and the clio ones are the same size,is it not the shell design of the meg that give you the lower seating position?could be wrong like but the meg is spot on ride hight.

I think that the meg would suit someone who is taller than average , like 6ft 3 upwards, think a lot of taller drivers in the clio struggle with seat height as you don't get the best drive position IMO , I'm 6 exactly and found by adjusting seat recline and wheel reach you get a good position, it does take a bit of time!
