    Hi,

I not long ago joined the Clio 200 family for mainly track use but with the occasional road use. The car came with a full Ktec system and carbon rear tips. While the car worked well on road when I took it to Silverstone for the day it has now made a right mess of the rear diffuser and melted some the rear bumper.

When I have dropped off the rear diffuser there seems to be some heat shield missing for the exhaust tips? When others have fitted after market exhausts have you had to remove this heat shield as well?

I am now trying to find a replacement rear diffuser (like lots of others!!) but want to make sure that I get it sorted properly when I get the new parts,

    Thanks in advance!

You're correct the two heat shields are missing from your diffuser, they shouldn't need to be removed to fit a K-Tec exhaust.

I find that with a standard 197 exhaust the tips slightly rattle on the heat shields on very rough roads, I imagine some aftermarket exhausts could be worse and then people remove the heat shields altogether.

My 200 diffuser that I fitted to my 197 never came with them either and im not that fussed about them as its a standard 200 Exhaust system I have on the 197.

Looks like they come part and with the diffuser as they are not sold separately, I checked on my Reg (57 Plate 197) and I also checked a 60 Plate 200.

    Item 13
    Part Number - 82 01 045 199
    RRP - £978.37+vat (£1147.04)

Yes, you're missing the two "funnels" the exhaust ends lead into.
