R27 vibration at idle

Just bought an R27 and have a few questions on the engine at idle.

Is it normal for the engine to idle at 1100rpm thereabouts but not with a completely regular beat (i.e. the rpm occasionally blips to 1150 and back to 1100) ? And is it typical that the engine is rather vocal at idle and that there is a bit of vibration through the steering rack? Or is it a sign that my engine mounts are worn? My cabin is filled with a mechanical throb which reminds me that there's a highly tuned engine in the front.

Have had the car for two days and am loving it!

something wrong there!

idle speed is like 850-900rpm and should be fairly quiet and smooth once warm

Have you ever found your issue, just got as well an R27 with 31000KM (3years old) and have the same small vibration in the steering wheel and cabin at idle.

I just done all fluids but didn't have the chance to buy new spark plug yet.

My car idle @ 800-900 when warm and drive ok.

Did you buy private or trade? If it's a trade sale, take it back. It's 100% not running right!

So you are saying the car should not have slight vibration during idle either at the steering wheel or cabin?
I used to have evo8 and evo9 with 600whp+, and vibration always been a bit in steering or cabin since the engine mount were uprated.

So I was guessing it was a bit normal in the R27 with cup chassis.

But when driving the car, everything is gone.
Only at idle it happens.

if trim items are a bit loose they might rattle and cause a vibration but normally the engine at idle is quiet and smooth

only noticed extra vibrations on mine when i fitted the lower up rated tie-bar mount...

Thanks for the infos,

Yes the car is very quiet and yes I have the plastic door handle that is a bit loose and ratling.

To me it is not an issue the small vibration.
But if I can fix it, I will.

No it shouldn't. I have an R27 myself and at idle I can barely tell it's running. Your idle speed is way above what it should be and the vibration is abnormal.

Unless it has uprated mounts, you shouldn't be getting the vibration, however either way the idle speed is wrong.

Maybe coolant temp sensor at fault?

Aren't you mistaken me with the OP.

I don't have issue with my idle, just noticed small vibration in the steering wheel.

Thanks.

Sorry yes, I assumed you were the OP!
