Philips Head Unit Compatibility?

Do any of you ICE experts know if this little monkey http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_874331_langId_-1_categoryId_165474#tab3 will work from the steering column controls, and if it will display on the standard dash mounted radio display? I know you can get cables to do this sort of thing, but I'll be buggered if I'd know where to start!
