Painting exterior door handles

anyone done this? Fed up of dodgy silver so may go rb but are they a pain because of the button in handle? Will button stick if I paint in one go?

Instead of making a new thread I though I'd bump this to ask if anyone knows about removing and painting exterior door handles? It's fairly new as it was replaced after someone drove into my drivers door but the silver paint is already flaking off.
