open cone filter setup (pics)

hi all, been thinking about trying an open cone filter setup with CAF now for a while,so with my Y pipe getting mapped in tomorrow at RS Tuning i thought there was no better time, plan on running my original setup while paul tweaks the map,HOPEFULLY once every is running as best as possible i'll ask him if i can do a quick run with the new setup if he's got time, whats your thoughts guys on which will be best,a few pics-

firstly my CAF which will remain the same for both setups,if the open cone works though i'll increase the size of the neoprene hose,

the cone filter is simply the inside of the maxogen,if this setup works i intend on upgrading this to something bigger and better but for now i think it will work fine, drove the car this morning and i cant feel any difference really but then again the car is running far from right since fitting the Y pipe, another thing i always think with different setups is your only going to gain a coulpe of BHP max so your not going to feel it,but what i can say is it sounds awesome so i really hope it works!!!

after getting the car running right at RS Tuning yesterday i swapped the filters over and did a run with the open cone, the car ran 1BHP more but lost some torque mid range, paul said he might be able to get the mid range torque back by altering the map and i might have seen a couple more BHP,but this test was done with the bonnet open so not really a fair test i think as the open cone obviously benifits from this, paul advised me to stick with the enclosed setup, bit of a bummer as the open cone sounded awesome
