...did this a couple of weeks ago on a 'fixed obstruction' in the highway.....luckily was just shy of the sump but did this damage to the sub-frame brace at the front.....£300 claim to the Council for leaving this bollard housing unprotected in the highway....

...made a right bang...luckily was going very slowly.....repairs all done now....literally took them 20minutes.....

...no payment yet. I don't expect them to hurry....irronically I work for the Local Authority and I did this whilst on Council business

yep two bolts either side, hence the very quick replacement time.....the actual brace is quite heavy which would explain the £200 price tag....took the car to Exmouth for the repair from Bristol.....drove very gingerly so as not to put too much presure on the damaged brace!
