Hi All, Im Dave from Sligo in the North West of Ireland.
thirty something year old pipe fitter/engineer. I spend
most of my year abroad, usually in Merica.

I'm a rally/retro/performance car restorer & collector in my spare time.

I bought a nice 197 on 10th of October in Doncaster, It had to be
white and it had to have Recaro's. The plan for the car is to replace
my 106 GTI as a Recce car for rally events.

I will be doing a few nice changes in the coming weeks so will
start a build thread when I make some progress.

Been right round Ireland. Particularly like Co. Donegal. Lucked out the 1st time I was there with blue sky & temperatures actually hotter than Athens at the time! The people & the music also make Ireland special to me.
 
Welcome in mate, your car looks mint. I stayed in Sligo when the WRC came to town, great atmosphere.
 
Sligo and Donegal is the place to be for rallying and scenery.
The famous Knockalla stage in the Donegal rally is known
World wide for its beautiful views out over the Atlantic.
