New gearbox time. Gripper diff to cheer me up

Well the time has come for my 197 gearbox to be replaced at 80,000 miles. So new one is on the way with a nice gripper diff too.
so I'm wandering, what's peoples experience with the gripper diff's?

Is it for road use? I know they're supposed to be somewhat unforgiving unlike the torsion diffs but they have their faults too.

I thought they were supposed to be serviced as well?

They are indeed. plate diff so will need servicing just like a clutch would. If your using it on the road then a Quaife ATB is what you want.
