New from the Netherlands.

Hi,

My name is Frank. I live in the Netherlands. I currently run the dutch Clioclub together with some other people.
I have been a member for a little while now. Came here to ask some questions, but decided to introduce myself now.

I bought my 197 half a year ago. I have made some changes in that period:

Exterior:
- Front splitter (I saw this on a white 197 at the Kreuztage in Germany and I fell in love with it).
- Elia rear spoiler.
- Fitted 25 mm H&R spacers tot the front. The back already had these.

Interior:
- Painted the strips on the dash.
- Fitted a new gear knob.
- Fitted the Renault Sport emblem on the steering wheel.
- Re-painted the center console including the radio front.
- New gear stick gator. Not the one of the Gordini. This one is home made, so it mathes the color of the car.

I oredered new wheels to.

They will be Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2S 17 inch (7j / ET45). They will be completely matt black, without the coloured stripe around it.
I could not order 7.5 j, but I think the 7j will still loog great.

Looks great! Nice to know those Laguna wheels will fit over the front brakes.

They fit just fine, and they fill the arches well. Much better than the original wheels.

I have just sold the Laguna wheels. I will run the originals as my winterwheels and I ordered the TD's as my summerwheels.

My second car. A Clio 3 1.5 dci, 102 hp. I wrecked this one :S

My third car. A Clio 3 1.5 dci, 86 hp. Loved this car!

I have always enjoyed driving a diesel car. When I changed jobs it was better to drive a petrol car :bye2:. So why not a 197 :thumbup1:

Ah so your up north then. I usually go Amsterdam when i go out there. Was a at Rotterdam last time i went though.

I love the north. The roads are much calmer and more fun to drive. Next time when you are going to make a visit let me know. I have to go to Rotterdam in october to fit my new wheels.

Mines an albi blue 197 - lowered on eibachs, powerflow exhaust, remapped, 7.5mm rear spacers, gloss black wheels. Got a few other bits to do in mind like panel filter, possibly coilovers for the future, spoiler, side skirts and front splitter. Ive also been offered a set of Shrick cams

Sounds good! Do you still run the stock wheels?
I don't think my mods whil reach as far as yours.

I don'r really see the difference in the albi blue color and the color of my car?
Or is this color named differently in the UK?
