New Clio recruit!

Hi All,
Purchased my first Clio (RS200 , Storm Grey, FF with Cup pack) and joined the forum before Christmas.
Have been very impressed with the 'how to do' section and guides & have read quite a few of the other members own build threads - very useful info so thanks to all!.
I've been doing quite a few of the easy upgrades since buying the car as it was pretty much stock and needed some new bits fitting here and there. Pleased to say that many of the weak areas seem to be ok (so far!), like rear ABS sensor holders , front rad frame etc. The exhaust is still the original but the manifold flexi's have a tiny bit of a leak most noticeable when started up from cold. They will need doing in the future but ok for now.

I've made an error whilst fitting the lower engine brace uprated bushes. I took the chassis brace off to aid refitting the dogbone mount and stupidly pushed the 2 stud fixing plate on the drivers side up into the subframe. I think this will mean taking the drivers side lower wishbone off to retrieve it....plonker!.

I've fitted a new stereo (Pioneer with DAB), some better door speakers (Alpine) and an underseat sub - all of which meant lots of trim out and a good look around the car. The car has the standard seats ,not Recaro's , but with leather so they look pretty good and seem probably a lot harder wearing. Look pretty much new after 70,000 miles.
I have posted a question about the clock setting in the centre display if you have changed the stereo, is this possible? If not i can always put a sticker over it!.

The Clio is going to be a partial daily driver (also got a T6 transporter) and will be replacing an Merc A35 AMG that suddenly seems a very expensive thing to lease when i've only driven 2500 miles in 2020. It will be interesting going from a latest generation pocket rocket laden with tech and modern infotainment into one of these. My other plaything is a Grp4 Escort so i'm used to hardcore cars!.

thanks. Your thread on buying and upgrading the white car has been really useful and has given me a lot of help & ideas!

As mentioned above my 'other' car is an old Escort. I have driven in various motorsport types over the years but settled into Hillclimbing as my favourite. There's a good classic championship that I help to organise and its a great sport to take part in.

Back to the Clio ,are there any specialists with a good reputation in the Brackley / Northampton / MK area? Renault stuff is all new to me!.
