moving battery to boot

planning on putting a battery in my boot do i need inline fuses on my live wire if anyone has done this would be nice to know

When I did this on a track car, I just ran a wire from the boot to the original location, where I put a junction box in. Then made a new earth point in the boot.

I'm considering this as one of my future mods and I'll be fitting a in-line fuse at the battery, otherwise you have a long run of cable unprotected. The major issue is protection from blowing up the battery if this cable gets damaged and shorts to earth.

Yes there will, just depends how you mount them. Ive seen it done plenty of times.
For example...

Moving the battery to the boot (done it previously on several cars) also puts load on other components & can cause heat issues.
Often requiring a larger battery with more CCA's & thicker cables as it is such a long way for the current to travel.
Its really not a good solution.
