So I stripped my front brakes 3 weeks ago to stop them from squealing. Filed down the sharp edges and used Mintex Ceratec on the back of the pads. Went through a small pothole yesterday which had a lot of water and it seems that the lube has washed out as the NSF brake is squealing again.
The back of the pads are rubber where there pistons meet the pads so I didn't feel the need to get some shims but may do so now. Does anyone have any alternatives that might not wash out so easily?
