Hi

Thought I’d post a few pics on my Clio 200 progress. Trying to get the car setup for track day use. Removed the rear seats and fitted a baf motorsport brace, added some carpet to finish it of. Today I got around to fitting my M2 gtr seats on pure track direct side mounts. I’ve also got a nice alcantara motamec steering wheel to go on to.

Looks great, I'd replace the Motamec button with another button with a hint of yellow to match the mats. Maybe an RS one?

Those seats look absolutely beautiful. How comfy are they compared to standard buckets like Sparco EVO or Recaro Pole Position?
I like "blackout" button more.

Yeah I kind of like the no horn look but an RS one in yellow could look good.

The seats are comfy but a tight fit. Not sure how they compare to others as I’ve not sat in anything else.
The main issue I’m having at the moment is getting the seats at the angle and distance from the steering wheel and pedals to suite my driving position.

Yeah, seating position is a bit of an Achilles heel in clio. That is why I have to choose bucket seat carefully  I like the look of GTRs very much, but maybe will be better for me to buy something with modular cushions.
With standard seats, I have the front of the seat too high.

As you are sitting lower, I would 100% consider Wheeler Motorsport steering wheel lowering kit

It makes such a big difference for the wheel height.

Couple of pics of the Clio at the recent Croft track day. Overall I was very happy with how the car felt, the brakes especially with the mintex 1144 pads and rbf 600 fluid. Only issue I had was the near side front damper, fluid is leaking from it and it started to make a knocking sound.
Need to decide if I should just refresh the dampers or possibly upgrade. EED795C1-5855-462E-B375-61500A0CF5D7.jpeg04C32D13-BA29-4BEC-8CAB-7E656A6734DD.jpeg

Had some time to have a look under the rear arches. Found a few little rust patches and some rust under areas of seam seal. Cut the bad seam seal away and removed any loose rust and paint. Used some red oxide paint over these areas, doesn’t look nice but will protect these areas.

The offside arche was the worst of the two.

More work on the not so exciting parts.
Managed to remove the sill kick plates without destroying them so hopefully they’ll go back on ok.

Once the skirts where of I brushed away the dirt and dust and then washed everything down. I removed the grommets and cleaned around them. Once it’s all dried I’ll go and spray some bilt hamber in all the access points.

Overall it’s just minor area’s of rust that I’ll have to tackle.

But I did find that the front part of the sill’s have been bent from what looks like it being incorrectly jacked up at the wrong points, the passenger side being the worst.

@Helpimonfire has got a set of Yellow Speeds. He might know more than I do. I think that if you slide them inwards they will got to -2.3 degrees which is a good spot for fast road/track. It should liven up the front end by giving you more grip when cornering.

Have you adjusted the height yet?
