Lost Mirror Cap (Manual)

Hello,
We have 'lost' (fallen off i presume) the mirror cap (drivers side, manual) of our wing mirror on our 2010 Clio Cup.
It had been carbon coated and we have sourced another but are unsure of how it secures/attaches. There are no obvious clips on whats left of the wing mirror or the replacement carbon cap (completely smooth). Is the carbon mould designed to be glued on the edges of the mirror 'space' or is the carbon cap/mould designed to attach/glue to an OEM mirror cap then attach?

I'm guessing the carbon cap is supposed to be bonded on to the back of the original mirror cap. But if the 197 mirrors are anything like the 200 mirrors, there are four long tabs iirc that hold the mirror cap to the mirror housing. Would you be able to post any pics of the replacement items?
