Looking for 197 exh noise in my 200....suggestions

At 2800-3000rpm my 197 makes quite a nice throaty buzz in all gears, nothing silly but just satisfying. My 200 doesn't and I don't know why. As far as I'm aware the 197 exhaust is standard.

Can anyone confirm the 197 rasp as mine does or anyone with a 200 who's car does or doesn't make the noise.

The 200 sounds fine but I'm just wanting a little more tingle out of it

The exhaust and cats etc on the 200 need beating into submission, seriously it's probably just down to mileage. If not the fueling and standard map on the 200 will be different so it may be that too .

At 30,000 now mine sounds nothing like it did when i picked it up. Throatier for sure. Even sits gently popping and burbling on idle.

My 197 has done 29k and the 200 has done 21k and they do both sound very different. I quite fancy changing 200 exhaust but I don't know anyone local to Yorkshire like k tec who are able to offer a full fit/re map service

My 200 sounds fantastic.

It was silent from new with 0 miles, now a year on its much louder. As standard.

Now I've taken a cat out, it's amazing.

Yes, I've noticed this too, the 197 does have a nicer exhaust note at that rev range, my 200 is much quieter in comparison to our 197, one of a few things i prefer about the 197, as to why, I've no idea!.

31mph in 3rd gear sounds the balls in my 197!!

Mine is the same. Metalic rasp... 60k on the clock.
