Ktec exhaust with decat

Don't get one of these exhaust as your mpg will go down haha

I took mine to a Renault specialist today and got it fitterd, was quite surprised when I started the car up how nice it sounded and the faster you got the better it gets.

Also some nice crackles through the gear changes Whitch put a smile on my face

On a hole the car seems abit quicker thought the revs and more aggressive, Whitch leaves me thinking what will a remap do.

I did this originally, I seriously do not reccommend it lol, the drone at cruising speeds is unbearable.....sounds awesome when your giving it the beans though!


I've now got same setup, decat and k-tec Catback, just had the K-Tec crackle map too, the sound is something else...just gently trailing the throttle a little bit makes it sound like a WRC lol

I've absolutely abused the petrol because the noise is so addictive hahaha

They do sound sweet!I have the decat still in place and a maxogen and sounds more grunty.If you get a good remap you will feel a great difference.

If your after more cracks go for a Y pipe like hendersons it sounds nuts

This is true, when you first get it done its very tinny and does drone at certain revs. However once its coked up it settles down. A few months on and mine sounds epic. Pops and bangs all the time. If I change gear at 6.5k it explodes, obviously that's where I change gear now....

No you dont have to relocate the battery to fit the maxogen you just put a varley redtop15 flat which frees loads of room up,defo get a map after fitting a maxogen to get the best out of them IMO.

God I can spend a fortune on my car that y pipe looks quality will it make it louder?

My origional plans were an exhaust maxogen and a 63 or 64 throttle body then have it all remapped and see what gains I end up with.

with the Y pipe fitted mine pops and bangs loud on every gear change without fail when you hit high revs,sounds absolutely awesome,very little power gains though mate so i wouldn't buy one if thats all your after,i did get a nice little mid range torque increase saying that though

got no vids sorry mate but trust me you won't be disappointed,bear in mind though,your car won't pass an MOT with both cats removed and buying,fitting and having the Ypipe mapped in isn't cheap...

Thanks for that information mate I think mines loud as it is lol can only imagine howmgood yours sounds, ill give it a miss then if it fails the mot mite just got for the crackle remap ktec do
