Hi all, Aaron here from NZ.

I worked for Renault many years ago here in NZ in the F4R era and have visited this site for over 10 years.

New Zealand sold very few NZ new Clio 197's. So little they didn't even bother selling the 200 new here.

Whilst working at the dealer we only ever had 1 Clio 197 come in for servicing over many years. The owner said he'd never sell it.
So it was up for sale a year ago and it came home with me.

The car is a NZ New 2008 (they sold less than 10 197's that year) 80,00km 197 Sport.

Car will mostly be used at track and making its way around the hills.

It was time for the cambelt and the front splitter had arrived from Ktec.

Genuine parts imported from Ktec including dephaser pully.

Due to the tools required I got the local dealer to fit.

Shortly after braided lines and SRF race fluid fitted.

The sight of the wheel gap from factor offset is hilarious. Spacers require certification here in NZ so not a quick or cheap option

So I quickly purchased some MSW by OZ wheels second hand.

new set of Nexen Sur4gs.

Bunch of other small jobs carried out over winter with parts from Ktec & Kamracin and Ebay

New ITG panel filter
Pollen filter
Weather window strips both sides
Map sensor CNC moto
VVT Seal
Sealed the known leaking bolt on the cover
Bluetooth kit

BBS RS221 forged wheels that had been refurbished appeared.

New DBA T2 2350s front rotors
Frodo DS 2500 pads

The 5x108 17' fitment is rare in NZ and finding anything new or second hand is limited.

Quick test fitment as they're 17x7.5 ET 38.

They just sit under the guard. The car is sitting too high but BC Golds will soon be fitted.

Also painted the calipers red and new brembo stickers.

Love the wheels. So lucky to drop on them! I don't think I've ever seen a set of 5x108 BBS in the UK.
