Joe's LY Clio 200

Ive got a map from engine dynamics on my 197, the person who owned the car before the previous owner must of got it done in 2019 it says 191.5 bhp I think when he went engine dynamics he got the scorpion cat back exhaust and ktec panel filter too on it I think mate but before that is was 180bhp I would show you the full dyno copy but I’m currently moving house soon and so all my paperwork is packed away mate and this photos not the best lol as this was taken couple months ago.

Absolute brilliant day out today. Went to see Andy at Engine Dynamics to get the car mapped as I could tell it wasn't running its best with the new mods, a small flat spot and poor(ish) fuel usage. 20210225_101111.jpg20210225_101125.jpg
Andy is a top guy, only ever run the car on 95 octane but didn't want to hold back the tune so he advised from now on I use 98+ octane. He tried to get rid of my EML however it is an issue with the second lambda "open circuit" which came on after my visit to RenTech to get my manifold fitted. Jacking the car up tomorrow so hopefully its just unplugged and not buggered.

Anyways, the results.20210225_181836.jpg
206.2hp and 159FtLb, not too shabby I reckon? Didn't have a number in my head as I just wanted it to run a bit smoother, but I'll definitely take 206.2hp. The 5 minutes of B roads I had before the A12 and M25 felt absolutely amazing. The car runs superb and feels just so much better to drive. Money well spent 110%.

Bet you're happy with those results! Something I keep putting off but need to get in for. If I get 200 I'll be happy so I'd be over the moon with 206!

If it makes you feel any better I did this with my completely mint set of new protracks within about 1 month of owning them. Had a spin off track and rolled the tyre when landing back on the pavement! It happens!

206 is pretty incredible one of the highest I’ve seen. Always enjoyed my visits to ED. For some reason Andy doesn’t get the same recognition in certain areas that some other tuners do

The worst feeling :tired:

Try not to get too caught up, everyone’s done it...
Just frustrating isn't it, they had survived 45k miles until now:worried:

Brutal mate, that's why i'm so nervous to track my car, complete novice I'll end up binning the car.

Thanks Ben! Your 10s of recommendations on the forum really did help my decision, didn't really set in just how good 206 was until everyone had replied, well worth the trip, Andy is a proper gent.

After an infuriating 0-0 draw against Leeds I decided to take my anger out on the car and give it a wash inside and out. Had two ladies and a bloke ask me if I'd clean their cars next weekend so must be doing something right. Bloke even asked if I was a detailer, didn't look happy when I started laughing! 20210313_160624.jpg

Do anyone else's wipers catch on the bonnet when they are pulled up? Are mine screwed on wrong?

Non-clio related but after two weekedends the 2.5tonne car lift has been installed, primarily used for the kit car but old man said I can use it for the clio as well.20210313_155924.jpg

Wipers are the same on all, you're supposed to put them in park mode if you want to lift them up to do anything with them when the bonnet is down :thumb:
