Is there more than one camshaft position sensor type?

Morning all,

I've just got round to fitting my new camshaft position sensor this morning, however the one I've taken off is very different to the new one which is listed for the 200.

Does anybody know if there is more than one type of camshaft position sensor for the 200?

This is the sensor I've removed...



And this is the same as the new sensor...


If anyone can help shed any light on this it would be really helpful.

Maybe the 197 and the 200 has two different types of cam sensors

Read the part number from the old one it will be on it somewhere

OK I found two types from Clio sport championship parts lists double check what's written on yours but yours might not be the right one to begin with so dealer lookup. The German list is two versions 2010 and 2011 so safe to assume the change between 197 and 200 will be a different part.

Thanks for the diagrams and part number lists @turkie172, unfortunately none of those listed were the same part number.

Found the part number on the sensor in one of the grooves by the bolt hole (P/N 8200963886). I'm not sure why it's a different part number, perhaps the part numbers for the UK and Germany vary slightly?
