Help needed ASAP with a Clio light issue. Thanks

My sisters Clio 1.5 dynamique, main beam lights will not switch off! Her engine is off an keys are out!

The stock on the stearing wheel is set to off! Has any1 got any ideas on how to fix it without taking battery off!? Thanks!

I wouldn't imagine you could do much without cutting the power.

IE. Disconnecting a terminal.

Ok, we will pull the battery so it doesn't drain it. Could it be a fuse issue?

You don't need to pull the battery, just undo a terminal so there's no power.

Wouldn't be a fuse issue, fuses only really blow, so they lights would stop working, not keep them on.

Could be a "quirky clio" thing, or possibly a loose connection some where? Hard to say. See what happens when you disconnect the power and restart the car.

Maybe a relay or the stalk itself. Has it got auto lights?

Ok, my mate who live near my sister is going to go disconnect the battery and she will get it looked at tomorrow!

And no it hasn't got auto lights. Bit of a strange problem really! Lol.

Could be a fused relay or stalk

My 1.5 diesel was the same, had a dodgy stalk.
