I took my centre console out to try locate a rattle, and saw that my offside handbrake cable was covered in salt so I'm guessing the seal has failed. Also in winter my handbrake has been freezing on so I'm guessing this is the reason why. The other cable was slightly corroded as well so I may as well replace both!

I bought a set of non genuine cables from pages and they were about 5 inches too short so just got some genuine ones last week instead
