H&R Spring options

Hi Guys

having been reading through some threads on here, i have decided that H&R springs is teh way forward for me. I had H&R coilovers on my old 172, but this was used more on track than road if im honest.

My new 200 FF is my every day car, and i have no plans to take her on track this time.

With that in mind, i am thinking of just using teh H&R springs on the standard 200 FF dampers. Partly to lose a little body roll, but mainly for the look.

My plan for the car is to have it resemble a road friendly cup racer.

My only concern is the rear springs. H&R only seem to do 30/30mm springs, but i think it could do with being a little lower.

Does anyone have any pics of the 200ff on H&R springs, or any info on whether you can still get the 35/40 springs?

Anyone know?
Im gonna be speaking to Mark Fish today anyway but anyone with info or experience of running H&R with 200FF shocks would be great

I dont think you can get 35/40 for the R.S. You don't want to go to low on the back, always best to have some rake on the car as it handles better and keeps the rear end planted.

yeh i dont wanna completely deck it and remove all rake....
just didnt want the front looking spot on and the rear having a nice gap still lol

im pretty sure the springs your talking about are 30/40 and larkspeed currently sell this. what year is your car?

It depends what top mounts you have, if its got the earlier top mounts then the 197 30/40 will fit. I know thats what hippy ordered and fitted to his 59 plate 200. But as yours is 60 plate it could be the earlier or later top mounts. Going by larkspeeds site the 30/40 are listed for 197 early 200 and 30/30 for the 200 after 2010. Best way to check is to remove the windscreen wipers and plastic panel around them, remove the top mount cover and check the top mount, the later ones have a small hole just big enough to see the centre spline/ nut of the shock, earlier ones the hole is alot bigger.
