GW 200. A Work In Progress

Hi, everyone thought it was about time i started a project thread. So picked the car up from Wrexham a 3 hour round trip from to member of her called Red cup, a keen photographer and a top chap. Apart from one small mark on the front wheel where the wheel had been curbed the car was in excellent condition. The car had done 18000miles and had a few months tax left. For the condition it was in the price was good.

After i picked it up went for a little road trip up north to the beach. Where i got sand in the cabin and a bird pooed on it good luck you think?

So been enjoying the car for a year now. Really enjoy the handling and the way if feels is sublime. Went to the Pro-Drive tour which was very good and few other little meets in this time. But now the bug has really bitten and now started to buy parts for the car and tidy it up even more.

Next i clean the Brembo calipers as i heard reports of them seizing and got myself some mrpink Brembo caliper pins. Good thing to as the originals were a pig to get out, they came out eventually.

2nd service was due and a offer came up on the forum for a company called TCR. Great service was given Lee dropped me off and picked me up, Gave me a tour of the facilities showed me the new 200t race car they just got in and Nick Hamiltions 200 race car. Would recommend anyone in the west midlands region to go here service was great and they really know what they are doing.

Next thing i order a sprint booster from Chris197F1 and fitted it. Made some spacers from some nuts i found and filled then down to size, a bit of trial and error. What a difference it makes to driving. I think the red setting is a bit too much but switch it onto the green setting for a really good throttle response . I prefer a more progressive throttle pedal so prefer it off for day to day driving. Any one got a better place to put the switch, as it doesnt seem to stick very well to the plastic?

The winter came so layered on some wax and drove it through the winter until the summer came. Over the winter my passenger window stoped working and all of a sudden fixed itself any ideas? Also came across a site called detail world and got hooked so started to grow a collection.

I always thought the car was lacking more noise, so just at the right time Buddyboy was selling a akro evo full exhaust and a ktec induction kit. So went down to London to pick it up. As he was selling his Clio 200 and didn't need them anymore he gave me some loads of other parts for the car, so much that i couldn't really get any more stuff into the car. Also wrapped the exhaust up and fill the boot of my car, never meet a more helpful and nice person really appreciated what you did for me.

Next up was the Curbourgh track day from the 197/200.net forum. As this was my first time at anything like this i took it slow to begin with and really got into it. One thing i would have change would have been my tires before i went, there wasn't a lot left on to begin with and defiantly none when i got back. Really good day would recommend you all get on one, big thanks for Lee and Kevin for making the day happen.
