200: General Rant!

Okay so i spend a lot of time admiring other peoples clios as im sure many of you do, and i myself having no experience when it comes to modifying cars just wish i was brave enough to attempt some of the ideas i see. It wouldnt be so bad if my rs wasnt my only car... it would be good to know if any of you were in the same situation and see how you have got on!

The how to guides are great on here, become a member (cheap as chips also supports the site) and it opens a whole load of extras parts of the forum! And if you are unsure just ask

My 200 is my only car and I've modded it all be it only slightly. Start small and work up and don't forget anything that can't be undone quickly. I spend thousands on my last car in mods but mist was easily removed if required. That's my advice.

This!

Car clubs are always good for little mods, but imo this place has one of the better "how to" sections that ive come across!

Find out where your best local independant garage is also, so if you are unsure, you have a friendly face to speak to (if this place isnt fast enough)

I do need to become a paid member and will do very soon! Also i need to know the specialists in my area... i was just thinking of making a suede like interior, vents, centre console etc maybe sat nav! New headlights, debadge, new hoses and leads (yellow maybe) chroming the top of the engine and just making it look nice! Stuff like that!

Instead of modding think of it as replacing standard parts once they are worn with better than factory parts. even with the like of Oil, discs, pads etc.

All basic stuff Boycey, you're an Aircraft fitter, im sure you're capable!

If you want help with anything, Warboys is hardly far from March.

Things like the headlights are a cheap and real easy fix and make the front so much meaner!

Yea thats what im thinking haha! Just my dad is completely against me doing anything without knowing how to but he'll have to get over it! Yea but don't you have to take the bumper off!?

To be honist mate i doubt your dad would ever know, yes you do but its a eay job, if i can do it im sure a aircraft fitter will make it look even easyer

Oh and your nearest speaclist is Danny at 519 Automotive, or give me a shout as i know 2 very good mechanics down my road, when can i check yours out

dont know on that one fella, think its like 20 years membership, access to all areas and gold window stickers?
