Gearbox 3rd/4th Synchro Replacement

Hi all.

I have the common issue with the 3rd/4th synchro and want to carry out the repair myself. I'm not new to gearbox rebuilds however these automotive items are always tricky and i've never been inside a Renault yet.

I want to know if anyone has and technical info on a gearbox rebuild before I start stripping as there is a chance I might need a specific holding tools or tightening socket for the layshaft/mainshaft and i will need to know specific torque settings. Exploded diagrams, section views would be awesome however I feel like this would be difficult to find. Rebuild pictures from anyone would also be every helpful too.

I have downloaded a copy of the official Renault Clio Workshop Manual but this does not feature gearbox internals.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you did post. I'm new to this forum so it would surprise me if did something to make it disappear by mistake. Thanks for the link anyway.

Why not show some appreciation and sign up as a member it is as little as £5 a year or there is other one off payments for multiple years. You get access to the how to section etc.
