First problem with the 25mm spacers...

Hi All,

As you may have seen I put the 25mm spacers on my 197, and it looks the nuts!!!

But after some inspection and some rubbing I decided to take the front wheels off to find that the spacers/nuts that are attached to the hub were loose, infact very loose, which is quite alarming!!

The nuts were tightened to the correct torque and as suggested, but this was a worrying find.

The ones on the rear are fine (i suppose there is not as much strain as there is no drive going to them).

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing or can give any advice?

I would love to have the spacers back on the front as looks awesome, but also I'd rather Live!

Do the same as your manual suggests for wheels and recheck the torque when freshly fitted after x miles....

gotta agree with mikeh, you've always got to check them after a few hundred miles , just like you would with new wheels, they always 'bed- in' to some extent, did you put some copper slip on the centres to help them on?abd on the wheels also?
