Exhaust tip help

Hi guys

having a nightmare bought this scorpion exhaust without any tips and struggling to find anything bought these 2.5 inch akropovic which don’t fit at all

any help would be fab!

The tips are slip on so contact Scorpion and buy the tips from them as a spare part they do slash cut or round minimum hassle after market made up custom tips can be £100 to £120 if that gives you perspective and eBay tips although cheap can sometimes not be long enough or stupid clamps that will damage the diffuser. The max size for a 197 diffuser is 3" outside diameter 10mm bigger and you risk rubbing the diffuser and melting the exhaust tunnels. Get a tip with a rolled end or some thickness as the problem with the genuine Renault tips was they were not fat enough looking from behind and looked weak that way.

Thanks mate I think the previous guy cut it down a bit to fit different tips so I may just have to measure up by the sounds of it cause worried the scorpion ones won’t fit

Just been doing a bit of research I have a clio 200 can you still use other tips?

You cant use tips on a 200 diffuser that's the point of that diffuser but you must make sure the pipe ends go well into the heat ducts a lot of 197 owners bought 200 diffusers without the shielding or cut back the factory 197 tips the hot gasses because they were not directed properly melt the diffuser and a waste of money.

thanks mate so really I might just need to weld a bit of pipe on tbh to make it a bit longer so it fits the standard 200 tips

You don't need to weld if it is all in line then you need a straight extension a swathed pipe and a clamp you need accurate external diameter of the pipe you got the length you need which can be a bit more and you can cut down and the internal diameter of the diffusers hole that will be your pipe starting external diameter and the other end will be expanded to the external diameter of the back box exit no welding needed some places on eBay will make the pipe up for very little money. Or if the back box is branded like a scorpion they sell tips so the box connects to a 200 diffuser which might get you near enough.
