EC1 (Typhoon) ECU base map

Hi all,

Apologies for the demanding first post. I've recently bought a Clio 200 which is running an EC1 (later edition) ECU. Engine is largely standard apart from a bit of head work. However, I'm having some running issues and finding it very flat indeed. I believe it's a sign that the VVT is not kicking in properly.

I was hoping someone here might have a base map which I might be able to take a look at? I don't plan to run the car on it, but I'm looking at the way the solenoid output is configured in the ECU. From my limited knowledge, I'm pretty sure mine is set wrong.

You may want to talk to matt at tdf, thats his ecu.

Cant see why you would use that ecu for just headwork. Unless off course the car has had a VVT delete?

For the uninitiated, what's VVT delete!? Is that as obvious as it sounds - why would anyone do that?

depends on what cams you have fitted...some don't have/use variable timing

I'm sure the VVT doesn't affect the power does it? Iirc it comes in at 1500rpm, something I do with emissions?

its also used as a sort of "internal egr" as well for emission standards...
