Do 197/200 front pads have wear indicators?

I've just got hold of some new pads for my 200 & they seem to have a wear indicator wire coming from one side of the pads....

Do they need these.. I was under the impression the 200's use the same pads as the megan/alfa mito's?

I'm confused now because I've been told these pads are from the megan and will fit, but you can just cut the wear indicator off...

There's definitely no wear sensor on the clio. The megane uses the same caliper so I'd be surprised if they have a sensor. Check you got the right pads!

i have fitted pads to clio and megane these being brembo / ferodo / ebc and none of them had sensor wires...

Strange as they are the right pads..

The wear indicator must be for another application.

Brembo HP 2000. I have checked the part number with brembo tech as well..

Those pads are for Alfa. They fit the Clio Brembo calipers, but have a wear indicator.

I'm not sure mate, my guy couldn't get them without the cables... I only payed £85 for them (Mates rates) tho so more than happy to cut the cables off. I hear they're a similar match for D2500's.
