Well... Recently picked this up as a bit of a toy to do some trackday's and a trip to the ring in the summer..
Anyway the car is a 2008 197 with cup pack and recaro's.
This is how it looked when i picked it up.

Recaro's are good condition and wheel has the usal wear

Not too many plans needs abit of tidy up and a couple of mechanical fixes.

First job was a good clean and removing the side stickers as i didn't fancy them.

After a full decon and machine polish and a wax it came up pretty well

Also fitted my steering wheel trim i had lying round and some wind deflectors.

That's about it for now.

Future plans:
Manifold is blowing at flexi's so that needs sorting (any advice for cheapest fix welcome)
Knocking noise from nsf needs diagnosing
Some decent pads and brake fluid
Better tyres
Possibly some h&r springs
Fancy a cup spoiler too
fit my aftermarket radio
black badges

Thanks for looking will try and keep this updated as and when

Quick update

no pics

fitted a the standard airbag with a piper cross panel filter, much better noise for regular driving bit kind of miss the noise when pushing on.....

also fitted my aftermarket radio in.

getting there just need to get the flexi's sorted and diagnose the knocking on nsf

Looking good so far  The car would look great lowered, with projectors and the front splitter/side skirt combo. There's another one on the forum like yours that makes me want to plastidip mine in white. What headunit did you go for?

Thank [emoji3] yeah hoping to lower and space it.

Its just a kenwood unit ive had a fair few years will get some pics up

Couple of little touches today fitted led number plate bulbs and silvervision indicators.

Looks so shiny i dont want to fit it!

Soon be nice shades of purple and brown  unless you want it on your mantelpiece in a glass box lol!

The car is looking great, I really like the 197 in white  the silver indicator bulbs really clean up the clusters. Was it the Toyo mani you went for? Any joy sorting the knocking??

Thanks guys

No its a ebay special manifold, came in a direnza box?? Seems good quality mind.

No joy on the knocking been up on ramps a few times and everything seems tight etc [emoji52]
Chap at the renault specialist is fitting the manifold so im going to get him to look it at it and hopefully find the issue

From what i understand it is a Toyo manifold, is produced in the same factory with same materials - just doesnt have a Toyo badge on it.

yes that's the one ive got, been fitted today picking it up tomorrow..

mechanic says it knocking against the subframe still (he'd shaved it down for me) so need powerflex inserts... can anyone advise which ones are needed?

Picked the car back up today after having the manifold fitted, sounds much now, he said it was knocking on the subframe but i couldnt hear it on the drive back, but i'm fitting poweflex bushes anyway now as ive bought them.
All fitted

He also seems to think my knocking problem at the front could be the shocker..

Notch out of the subframe would have guaranteed no knocking. In saying that i believe one of the mounts is "slotted" and has some adjustability; so the engine can be tilted slightly to give more clearance.

Also: engine movement since i fitted my Polybushes is virtually zero, so im sure you'll have no issues in future for sure once in.

Quite a bit more noise with the manifold isnt there...........
