I have been meaning to post up about this since last Thursday.
I had the day off, so went to Renault Wolverhampton to order a touch up pencil. I gave the lady on the desk the Reg of the car (both private and original), the paint code and the part number given to me by TwingoGeekeo.
The paint code on the list in this thread (click) and the paint code on the door of the car both say NNF.
Renault Wolverhampton say Renault don't list a paint colour to that code, although when they searched for the car, it bought back, guess what, NNF.
The part number TwingoGeekeo gave me, represents the paint name Ultra Red, to which the paint code is NNC.
So WTF has happened here? Renault have either painted my car a colour they don't know about or have just thought 'hey, vee will chang zee name of zit' and told no one.
I have ordered NNC and the guy the woman from the parts desk went and got from out the back, who must know a bit more about this kind of thing, says I can try before I buy due to the confusion. Even so, it's only £8.50, so no really great loss, but why is it like this in the first place?
Anyone got any ideas or had any experience of this?
Az.
