"Clunking" when braking hard

A few times now, I've noticed that when I'm braking to a stop from a decent speed I can feel a sort of clunk under the car.. I've only noticed this since my exhaust was fitted. Clamps are miles away from the road, Car hasn't been lowered. Any ideas?

I get the same thing. Also get it if I stick the car in reverse sometimes...not sure what it is but I'm sure its not any issue.

Mine has done this for ages, renault in peterborough had it for ages, could only put it down to pads moving in the calipers. Quite a loud clunk when moving from reverse to forwards or heavy braking. They said it's quite common on the megane sports too?

Definitely sounds like loose pads could just be the paint coming off or just the metal rubbing off with age. Stripping down and greasing all the moving parts should dampen the noise, if possible fit shims to bring up the slack aswel
