My mother's Clio 3 (2011) 1.2 16v / 75hp recently had problems with ignition (as if bettery is dying, but it is 1 month old). Also the throttle response was a bit lazier than usual, with idle working at approx 625 rpm.
Connected to mechanic's OBD, the throttle body showed some error. Bought new throttle body and replaced, the error code doesn't show up anymore, everything seems fine now except the idle is till 625 rpm.
The car is completely stock (she is the first owner so car history is 100% familiar), 28500 miles on the clock.
Could this be that the crank sensor is out? The OBD readings do not show any faults anymore. But as I remember, normal idle was around 800-900 rpm. 625 seems really shaky and unstable, as if it is choking. But while driving everything seems fine.
Any ideas?
