Hello friends,

Two years ago i did the Megane 225 engine swap to my Clio 197. Unfortunately i did the big miatake of sticking with the OE catalytic converter. Now I'm looking to replace it with a 200 cell cat downpipe, which probably means a lot of work to do

So here's my question, I've heard about two methods. First is taking out the sub frame, second is taking out the driveshaft. Do both work? Or is there an easier way to take the big cat out?

Thank you for your help

None of the above... if it’s the cat after the mani should be able to jack the car up and get to it no issue

Thank you,

But I'm talking about the oe megane 225 downpipe catalytic converter. Also the megane 225 has one single cat.

I think you have enough access if you take off the driveshaft and mounts, will be a PITA though. Why not give it a try as next step would be to pull engine.
