Climate Temp Sensor

Does anyone know where the temperature sensor for the climate control is located. Now I know I'm no heating engineer, but the longer I own the 200, I'm getting more and more convinced that the temp that is set on the heater does not influence the temperature in the cabin and that its an indicator of what comes out of the vents.

I think it is at the bottom of the centre section, next to the key card slot.
