Central brake light HELP

So my MOT flagged up my central brake light isn’t working (still passed [emoji28])

My issue is that I’ve been told the only way to get the unit out to change the bulb is to remove my cup spoiler as it is in the way.

Does anyone have any information or experience with this?

Also does anyone know if the central brake light has its own fuse and where it is? I’m just thinking I’ll check that before removing the spoiler.

Thanks

Rick

Hi Rick, you probably wont need to remove the cup spoiler but itll be fiddly without removing it. Its probably a bulb gone. To remove, open the bootlid, pull away the two rubber grommets behind and locate the brass lugs. They just need pushing up to release with a flathead screwdriver and the light unit pops out.

I’ve also removed the light without removal of the spoiler!

That’s a great mini how to, thanks!
