Canbus or not canbus?

Hi all

I can't seem to to find a straight answer about this but I'm buying a hid kit but do I need the canbus ones or not? I have projector headlights if that makes a difference.

No buddy. They did on the 172 & 182 ..Don't know whether they do on the 200 but not 197.

I've got a 197 with projectors and assumed mine were. It's got auto levelling and headlamp washers

That's xenons.

197 protectors just need a hid kit.

What's the difference between regular headlights, xenon and hid?

Just different kinds of light emitted.

Halogen is your basic, then xenon came in and now newer cars are fitted with hids. Hids give the brightest white light.

I'm confused. It was always my understanding that there were 2 types of headlamp?

Reflectors which come with halogen bulbs.

Projectors rs which come with HID.

So is there another option of xenon? I've not mentioned LED headlamps as clios don't havr this option.

Projectors with hid are after market.

Theres projectors with non hid8 that have cornering lights.

There's xenons which you have.

And reflectors which are the silver lights

Yes, the HID kit will be much brighter and also illegal.

Yes they are legal as an oem addition, for example the audis that blind you at night...
