Hey guys,
First post here. Got this RS 200 last year second hand and just had the 85,000km service done on it.
Just took it out for a quick run to the shops today and when I put some power down the whole car jerked and came up with error codes regarding injectors and cruise control.
When I popped the bonnet I found this below.
The plastic weld had popped off and the whole pipe opens along the seam showing the inside of the throttle body. I have spent ages trying to find the proper name or part number of this plastic pipe. I think it is the Cold Side Boost Pipe, can anyone verify that?
Has anyone seen this happen before. I figured it is somewhat common as it is along the plastic seam but cannot find any posts about it (might be searching wrong). Is it best to replace the whole part or is it possible to re-weld the plastic? anyone got experience on that?
