When I first got the car 1,2,3 and 4 all worked, but now 2 and 4 won't blow but 1 and 3 will, anyone else had this problem?

My number 2 setting works intermittently. It doesn't bother me too much as it's neither here nor there as a setting, but it would be interesting to know what the cause is.
Curiously, when I viewed an Albi at a dealership prior to the one I bought, setting 3 didn't work on that one!

Take the glovebox out then pull the connector block off tht connects to the resistor on the side of the heater. take a look at the connections as they will be melted as its a common fault i just scraped all the melted plastic out cleaned the connections up and sprayed with wd40 and all was well again,im 99% certain it will be this ,if not it will be the resistor itself at fault

Thanks for the help! All fixed now.could not see any melted plastic, just blew on the connector and that did the trick!
The old blow trick! A first for any real diagnostic expert.
