Anyone know how to get google directions from desktop to phone app?

Any tech savvy folk?

I have a My Maps set of directions, all saved on my Mac.

Signed in on my phone, can see the map and select it to look at it scroll and zoom, see all the waypoints... all good.

How the funk do I get my phone to navigate me along that route?

If you're signed into google maps on your desktop you should be able to save the route and then providing you are signed into google maps on your mobile it should be available?

All good with everything you've posted there. Can see the route on my phone no problem, I just can't get the phone to navigate me along that route!

You can do a route with waypoints and "send to my phone" although I've not tried that as it limits the number of waypoints to 5 or 6 or something.

I need to do WAY more than that sadly.

It would just be SO very handy to be able to create a proper road trip on the desktop and then just get directions on my phone from that map.

I'm so close, feel like there must be something I'm missing!

If I work it all out mate, I'll post here to explain how to do it.

Sorry mate, I completely misread your first post

I think it only shows start instead of preview if your starting location is anywhere other than where you are.

No worries mate. There must be a way. The desktop version and the app are talking to each other and can share the route. I just can't get the app to direct me along that route!

It's such a shame, it would be a massive bonus to be able to send everyone a map that they can just send to their phone.
