Air intake lid blowing off

Hi everyone as title the lid on my intake box keeps blowing off the car bogs down really bad and makes loud cracking noises if I blip the throttle it will pop and splutter then be fine ..... The car has felt really sluggish lately plugged into a reader and got a code b1401 which I think is the window motor any ideas

I think Jonny you need to start again we don't know the car like you do and we can see it so you need to start by letting us know what's done to the car like what's done to the exhaust like middle box delete, manifold both CATS deleted etc. For the air intake lid to blow off you would know about it. Most likely the clips have not enough bite to lock down or the brackets are missing or broken. The pictures are from a Nissan Micra if its the arms on the lid not pushing out enough to lock use a heat gun to warm the arms then while soft bend them out and hold until cool remember this they don't need a lot of heat they will melt quickly if your not careful. As for your fault code make sure it's correct there is a code 0141 which is a downstream Lambda short circuit.

Hi there I didn't click about the details lol...it's a 200 cup it's got a milltek stainless system and cat delete that's all as far as mods everything else is standard
.. the lid does click firmly into place when the car bogs down and makes the odd cracking noise I can actually hear the lid being blown off under the bonnet I used a generic Bluetooth reader and an app called car scanner to get the code

the crackling will be because of the cat delete and more so if the middle silencer is deleted as well your system might be a non resonated meaning no noise restriction so you will hear everything. If it's not mapped then there should be an almighty flat spot that you have made bigger a remap is normal when you go that far. The air box thing will be a fuelling problem I'm not sure if you are describing it all correctly any fault lights maybe you have damaged lambdas when swapping or have not connected them again as the air box should be vacuum and would be a large air flow reversal to blow the lid off. That fault code does not show anywhere you need to check it out before anything major gets damaged.

IT would need properly looked at if you have just got it judging by your low posting numbers get it to a specialist before something major happens. Air intake leak, fuel mix or timing if it goes wrong it will cost big time if not looked at a dyno guy might be able to pinpoint since it fuel or ignition problem.
