Ahhggrrr - Car locked me out today!!

Well on my 3rd day of ownership I found myself helpless key card in hand pulling on the handle to no avail!

Unusually I had read the owners handbook last night and by luck had read about the key operation in the passenger door and the little slot in the dash. Apart from setting the alarm off on opening the door until I could get the key card into the slot the system start up worked fine and I was able to go on my way.

Is this likely to be a regular issue? Im guessing its just a flat battery in the key card. How long do these batteries last?

I think had I not read the handbook I would never have known about the dash slot......a spot of good fortune!

Sounds like a flat battery mate, mine lasted over 3 years!

its good practice to change them every 2yrs....

on the service schedual for some peugeots its tells you to change the battery every 2yrs...never seen anything like this for renault!

Yes, the other keycard fob works fine so im going to get a couple of batteries and leave a battery in the glovebox

How much for the battery in the card,cuz mine is going now!
