Acoustic Valve

Hi everyone,

i was thinking about feeding the Acoustic Valve with cold air, at the moment this valve opens around 5000rpm and will use the hot Air because of this short Hose.

Would this make any difference while driving?

Normaly it is better to feed this thing with cold air than using the Hot Air from the Engine.

Can anybody tell me if he has already done this?

Saw some guys here which removed it and replaced it with a hose,do you feel anything from that mod?

Friend of mine did this and he is always a little bit faster than me,but i dont know if this is the Reason

I've done this already.......

Pictures / write-up etc on pages 20/21/22 of my Progress thread. (Link also below in my sig)

I did it for the reasons you outlined regarding Acoustic Valve only opening after 5k....and then gulping in hot air ! So at low revs - car only has one air feed. Then when the other does open its getting in the extra air from the warm engine bay. Not good !

I had it mapped like that too. Cant see how it can possibly be any worse than the standard set-up....

No going back for me.
